The exergame CERT aims at recovering general cardio-respiratory endurance and global coordination. Children have to keep rhythm and coordination with music while the system monitors movements in real time and scores the child as a reward.
The application includes a feature to work on interaction with another person, giving attention to the social and relational side of psycho-physical rehabilitation: players might be asked to keep coordinating together. Microsoft Kinect captures the players silhouette and builds an image merging half of the body of each player. If the two participants are coordinated they earn points, increasing their engagement in the task.
